My name is Morgan Blackwood. I write fantasy fiction. My primary inspirations were J.R.R. Tolkien and Robert E. Howard, with a lot of Patricia A. McKillip, Ursula Le Guin, Lloyd Alexander, and many others in the mix.

I currently have two series in the works. The Chronicles of Tarod the Nine-Fingered is a gritty sword-and-sorcery story told in chronological novellas collected into longer volumes. Currently, Volume 1, The Puppet King, is available. Volume 2, The Forging of the Nine-Fingered, will be available in early 2026.

Later in 2026, I’ll be launching an epic fantasy series called The Sundered Goddess. Book 1 is called The Children of the Night. I’ll be running a Kickstarter campaign for this one with some cool prizes.
